FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are you accepting new patients?
YES! Please go to our booking page to see which therapists are taking new patients at this time and book an initial appointment.
*Please note, if you book with a therapist that is NOT accepting new patients your appointment will be cancelled without notice
Are all your practitioners Registered Massage Therapists?
Yes, all our practitioners have completed the required education and successfully passed the registration exam to be a licensed RMT in British Columbia with the College of Complimentary Health Professionals of British Columbia (formerly the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia). This also means services provided by all our practitioners are able to be submitted to extended health insurers who cover massage therapy.
Do you accept WCB or ICBC patients?
No.
We do not accept any patients (new or subsequent) who are in open WCB or ICBC claims. Please contact us once your claim has been closed.
Failure to adhere to our clinic policy could result in the cancellation of your appointment and all applicable late cancellation fees will be charged to the patient. We are unable to submit any insurance provider if you are in an open ICBC or WCB claim.
Do you direct bill to my insurance?
All our therapists direct bill to Pacific Blue Cross and all insurance providers covered under the TELUSHealth umbrella (please check your insurance to find out if this is you). MEDAVIE Blue Cross is not the same as Pacific Blue Cross. We do not direct bill to MEDAVIE Blue Cross.
We only submit to the primary insurance provider. If patients have secondary coverage it is their responsibility to submit the remainder themselves .
All receipts issued for treatments will have the necessary information for patients to submit to their provider if we do not direct bill to that specific insurer.
Please be aware, direct billing is a privilege and may be revoked at any time. Patients are still able to submit the receipt to their insurer themselves.
Therapists do not have access to patients insurance policies. It is the responsibility of the patient to be aware of any deductibles to be paid, documentation required for treatment submission (e.g. doctor’s note), and how much coverage they have for the year.
PLEASE BE ADVISED SOLICITATION OF SERVICES NOT WITHIN A RMT’S SCOPE OF PRACTISE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED OR RESPONDED TO AND, DEPENDING ON THE NATURE OF THE REQUEST, MAY RESULT IN BEING BANNED FROM THE CLINIC.
